Miista...So cool it hurts

Ok...now these are some shoe to get excited about. Miista is a brand from Hackney (see told you they were cool) and they are coming in our stores next week!!!! We are LOVING the Victorian lace up feel, you know Author always love a bit of VINTAGE, don't we?

In their words, they are breaking the rules without causing a riot and we truly can't wait to get them on our feet.

Our Spitalfields store is getting a makeover...

Our already ever so gorgeous Spitalfields store is having a bit of a makeover to make it bigger and better! It is closed for a week, but don't fret everyone...that week is almost up and our shop with be up and running once again! We cannot wait to see the results!

Author Shoes have some rather exciting news folks! We are embarking on a new web journey and it's big big excitement for us and we cannot wait for it to be complete. Hang tight everyone, Author Shoes is having a facelift.

Miss L Fire...you set our hearts alight

Boy oh boy was last week a good week for new stock. One of our favorite brands Miss L Fire arrived in our van and it was pretty much like Christmas Morning for us! We unpacked our delivery and marvel after marvel just kept coming and our excitement was through the roof. You can buy the new collection of Miss L Fire in our shops and enjoy trying them all on. We are sure you won't leave without a pair of these delicious new designs.

Eloise in a gorgeous bottle green pair of Tartaruga - £90. For anyone who loves a bit of 40's glamour, the tortoise shell bow is just devine.

Viola in the red sparkly pair of Gabrielle -£90. A gorgeous little dancing shoe and the most intricate design all in sparkle gems. Dorothy will be so jealous...

Oh we just love that green on the Tartarugas!! They also come in black, which is of course equally stunning.

Now this is the shoe that has been flying off the shelves this weekend. Nancy - £130 has pretty much been the IT shoe since it arrived in our stores 4 days ago. If you're after a bit of a Victorian inspired shoe then this is the one for you. We stock the black and a tan version and they are super comfortable with the perfect sized heel. LOOK AT THOSE BUTTONS!!! We're hoping they are called Nancy after the character in Oliver...you can just picture it can't you?

The 1940's shaped Gabrielle, they also come in black.

Now for the appropriately named Godess shoe. Imagine you're in a 1920s speak easy, a Jazz group playing in the corner and doing the charleston on the dancefloor. Then imagine your footwear...THIS IS IT RIGHT??? The gorgeous shell design is just the perfect deco shoe to give you the 20's look and the nude colour is just to die for. They too come in black.

Its Lauren - £130 turn in the spotlight. If you're after a snug and cosy 40's inspired boot for this winter then Lauren will do you just swell. With sheepskin inside your feel will be as snug as can be, and dare I say this, but can it be winter now so we can get these straight on our feet??

It wasn't just any Ugger day...

So this post may be late...BUT here it is. Some of the Author crew luckily got invited to Ugg's FIRST EVER TRAINING DAY!!! Yes yes, jealous?
So off we toodle to a swanky hotel to be greeted by mini cakes, tea and coffee and then the training began.

Ugg's new theme of New Mexico really shone through in their AW11 collection with rustic colours, lots of fringing, orange tones and hints of their inspiration from Mexico. There was even some sparkle thrown in there for a girl that loves a bit of glam.

We cannot wait to get Uggs in our stores...the time is almost here, so sit tight and wait patiently everyone. It's time to get snug!
